Young Female Judo Talents Win the International Challenge in Germany
Apart from the training camp run right after the Tournament of Thüringen, in Bad Blankemburg, Germany, the girls of the youth and junior classes who participate in the World Circuit were invited to take part in an International Challenge this Monday, March 24th, against the hosts and Canadian. And Brazilian performed a new show, winning the two rounds by 11 2 - with a tie.
The elastic score was because the system used was a little different. Each country had the right to choose 14 athletes from their Cadets and Juniors in order to compose the team. The Brazilian team who competed against Canada’s was composed of Gabriela Clemente, Joice Braga, Carolina Pereira, Bianca Braga, Thamires Cabral, Nathália Mercadante, Jessica Pereira, Tamires Crude, Camila Barreto, Danielle Karla Oliveira, Ello Santos, Mariana Veiga, Pamela Pastorello and Camila Gebara.
Against Germany’s strong team who had Sappho Coban, the world junior champion in the lightweight category and Jennifer Schwille, the junior world champion in the half lightweight category Brazil competed and won again and so it could grab the title of the International Challenge. The team was composed of Gabriela Clemente, Ana Paula Morais, Joice Braga, Braga Bianca, Sarah Oliveira, Ellen Furtado, Larissa Farias, Tawany Silva, Jessica Pereira, Camila Barreto, Danielle Karla Oliveira, Ello Santos, Isadora Pereira and Sibilla Faccholli.
