The Training Camp of the Team Who Will Compete in the World Junior Championship Has Got to Its Final Countdown

The preparation of the team who will compete in the World Junior Championship held from 20th -27th October in the United States, is coming to its final countdown. The 19 athletes who have been training in São Paulo since September 29th were supervised by a multidisciplinary technical committee during these three weeks before being ready to step on the mats of the Broward Convention Center in Miami. They will be boarding is on Sunday morning, October 19th.

In the first week, considered a tough one, the judokas could have an exchange of experience with the Japanese national team who competed in the International Challenge against Brazil and has stayed for a week here. Besides this, physical training as well as medical, physiotherapy, physical and psychological analysis were performed.

The second week had two to three daily workouts, focusing on the tactical, technical and physical parts. And this week, the third and the final one, will be used only for specific training with emphasis on the technical and tactical parts as the last steps of the preparation.

The Junior team who competes in the World Junior Championship will be composed of Luiz Cláudio Lima Junior (55kg / SP), Vitor Carvalho (60kg / SP), Ricardo Santos Junior (66kg / MG), Gabriel Pinheiro (66kg / PE), Lincoln Neves (73kg / SP), Rafael Macedo (81kg / RS), Eduardo Santos (81kg / SP), Thiago Chiodi (90kg / SP), Gabriel Souza (100kg / SP) and João Cesarino (100kg + / RS). The women’s team will be represented by Larissa Farias (44kg / MS), Tawany Silva (48kg / SP), Jessica Pereira (52kg / RJ), Tamires Crude Silva (57kg / RJ), Flavia Gomes (57kg / SP), Danielle Karla Oliveira (63kg / RJ), Mariana Veiga (70kg / MS), Sibilla Faccholli (78kg + / SP) and Camila Gebara (+ 78kg / MS).

All athletes are joined by the multidisciplinary technical commission of the junior categories, composed of the  technical coordinator Marcelo Silva, the technical advisor Edmilson  Guimarães, the physiotherapists Ricardo Amadei and Gustavo Braga, the fitness coach Armando Gonzalez, the psychologist Mariana Correa and the nutritionist Patricia Vieira.
