The Junior and Cadet Brazilian Girls Shine in Germany and Score 13 Medals

The tournament from Thüringen which gathered together the juniors and cadets resulted in six gold medals, three silver and four bronze.

The Junior and Cadet Brazilian Girls Shine in Germany and Score 13 Medals

The Junior and Cadet women\'s team who are participating in the World Tour from Germany shone in the Tournament from Thüringen played this Saturday, March 22nd and it scored 13 medals for Brazil. In the youth tournament there were three golds : Amanda Lima ( 40kg/PE ) , Gabriela Clemente ( 48kg/SP ) and Ellen Furtado ( +70 kg / SP ) . In the Junior Team, the gold was awarded to Tawany Silva ( 48kg/SP ) , Jessica Pereira ( 52kg/RJ ) and Sibilla Faccholli ( +78 kg / SP ) ; the silver was won by Larissa Farias ( 44kg/MS ) , Tamires Crude ( 57kg/RJ ) and Pamella Sousa ( 78kg/SP ); and bronzes for Rita Reis ( 44kg/AM ) , Nathália Mercadante (48kg/SP) , Camila Barreto ( 57kg/RS ) and Camilla Nogueira ( +78 kg / MS ).

\"I would like to thank God and all fans for their support,\" said Jessica Pereira, who had already won the gold at the South-American Games fighting as a Senior.

The event was attended by 404 judokas - 260 Cadets and 144 Juniors- ten countries ( Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Canada, Poland , Czech Republic and Brazil ). In the overall medal chart, Germany ranked first with nine gold awards, followed by Brazil with six and then to Holland with one.

In 2013, in this same tournament, Brazilian judokas had won 10 medals: three gold, three silver and four bronze. In 2014, there were three more medals, all of them gold. Now, the 40 athletes who competed in the women\'s tournament participate in the training camp. Their return to Brazil is scheduled on March 27th.
