The British Judo Delegation Has Come to Brazil to Train at Minas Tennis Club

As a result of the agreement signed between Minas Tennis Club and the British Olympic Association, which allows British athletes use the Club’s facilities before and during the Olympic Games2016, as well as enables exchanges, the British delegation has come to Brazil and will train in Minas starting from tomorrow, October 10th  until 20th.  Among the prominent names of the team is the silver medalist in London 2012 Olympics, Gemma Gibbons (78kg).

Considering its athletes and members of the technical committee, the British delegation is composed of 24 professionals. Besides Gibbons, Ashley Mckenzie (60kg), Colin Oates (66kg), Ben Fletcher (100kg), Sam Hall (60kg), George Smith (90kg), Sally Conway (70kg), Bekky Livesey (57kg), Lucy Renshall (63kg ), Jemima Yeats-Brown (63 kg), Ebony Drysdale-Daley (70kg), Jemima Duxberry (70kg), Jodie Myers (78kg) and the parathletes Jonathan Drane (81kg), Gavin Towers (81kg), Samuel Ingram (90kg) and Crhis Skelley (100kg) are also part of the team.

The athletes will be joined by Jamie Johnson, the head coach, Jean-Paul Bell, the coach of the men's team and Kate Howney, the coach of the women’s team.
