The Brazilian Junior National Team Boards this Thursday for the Second Stage of the World Tour 2015
The event will take place this weekend in the city of Ponce, Puerto Rico.
The Brazilian Junior National Team will take part in one more competition organized in the Caribbean region, participating this way in the first two stages of the World Junior Circuit 2015. After winning three gold medals in the first stage, Aléxia Castilhos (63kg), Daniel Cargnin (66kg) and Nathália Mercadante (48kg) board Thursday, 22nd , to Puerto Rico for the second stage’s competition.
They fought on the last weekend in the Dominincan Republic and stayed there for training under the guidance of the coach Matheus Teothônio. The last training session before the second competition was on Wednesday, together with other Dominican athletes.
"With the training and Sensei Matheus’s help I managed to correct some mistakes and get better," Daniel says. "The competition was important to me, not only the result but also for the experience and opportunity," he adds.
The judokas return to the mat for the second stage of the World Tour run on the next January 23rd, 24th and 25th. After that, they come back home and they go directly to the Saquarema International Training Camp where the senior team will be.
