Japan Releases the Convoked National Team Members to the World Judo Championship
Japan has already decided upon the composition of its teams for the World Championship from Russia. The Japan Federation has released this week the 18 athletes who will fight for the title. The judo birthplace will have two male representatives in the half lightweight (66kg), lightweight (73kg) and heavyweight (+100 kg) male, and two female in lightweight (57kg) and heavyweight (+78 kg) categories. The champions of the 2013 edition, Naohisa Takato (60kg), Masashi Ebinuma (66kg) and Shohei Ono (73kg) are part of the list.
The male team will be formed by Naohisa Takato (60kg), Masashi Ebinuma (66kg). Kengo Takaichi (66kg), Shohei Ono (73kg), Riki Nakaya (73kg), Takanori Nagase (81kg), Masyu Beiker (90kg), Ryu Shichinohe (+100 kg) and Daiki Kamikawa (+100 kg) whereas the female by Ami Kondo (48kg), Yuki Hashumoto (52kg), Nae Udaka (57kg), Kaori Matsumoto (63kg), Karen Nunira (70kg), Ruika Sato (78kg), Kanae Yamabe (+78 kg) and Megumi Tachimoto (+78 kg).
The World Individual and Team Championships will be held from August 25th to 31st. The Brazilian Judo Confederation (BJC) is going to release the convoked athletes’ list on July 17th.
