Find Out How It Was the Last Competition Day of the World Junior Championships
On this Saturday (26/10), the last individual competition day of the World Junior Championships, three Brazilians won medals. They are in the semifinals. In the up-to-78kg category, Samantha Soares reached the final, where she faced the Japanese Shiori Yoshimura who defeated her, and consequently, she took the silver. The two Brazilian heavyweight athletes got some medals as well. Sibilla Faccholli (+78 kg) defeated the Croatian Ivana Sutalo in contention for bronze, whereas Ruan’s opponent, Georgian Giorgi Zakariadze, was also defeated by the Brazilian judoka. The other Brazilian of the day, Gabriel Souza (100kg), did not reach the fight for medals.
