Important Source of Information on Doping, ABCD Site Has a New Interface
The Brazilian Judo Confederation have not saved their efforts in controlling the doping at national level. They use to promote regular educational talks with senior and junior members. Moreover, they test the main national team athletes during and off competition as well as in major national tournaments such as the Selective 2016 as prevention methods. It is expected that this year doping tests be realized in some Brazilian Championships.
And in order to avoid problems, Brazilian judokas have an important ally: the website of the Brazilian Doping Control Authority (BDCA), which has a new look. Launched last Monday, January 12th, the site aims to get closer to the athlete and to those who use to be with them.
For an easier navigation, a segmented system was especially created for athletes, sports practitioners, family members, Doping Control Agents, Sports Entities, coaching teams and Sports Justice operators. BDCA new website highlights:
- Questions and answers doping related;
- The 2015 version of the List of Prohibited Substances and Methods and the World Anti-Doping Code (in English);
- Information on the Therapeutic Use Authorization - (TUE);
- And, perhaps most importantly, the tab "See list": a search system so that the athlete can seek information on a given medication and guidance on the risk of use according to the List of Substances and Prohibited Methods WADA - WADA-AMA, using only the trade name of the drug or its main substance.
