Brazilian Referees Participate in an IBSA Seminar and Competition in Hungary
Thanks to a partnership between BJC and CBDV, Jefferson Vieira and Chuno Mesquita represented the Brazilian referees in the World Judo Cup for blind athletes, in Eger.
Brazilian referees attended the World Judo Cup for blind athletes, organized by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) on the last weekend in the city of Eger, Hungary. The “IJF A” referees, Chuno Mosque and Jefferson Vieira , represented Brazil in the event thanks to a partnership between the Brazilian Judo Confederation and the Brazilian Confederation of Blind Athletes.
The Judo World Cup for blind athletes occurred between February 20th and 22nd. The winner in the overall medal chart was Uzbekistan, followed by South Korea, Azerbaijan and Ukraine. The Brazilian Blind Judo Team did not participate in this competition.
The next big Paralympic judo event will be the IBSA World Games 2015 in May, in the city of Seoul in South Korea. Before that, the Brazilian athletes will compete in the traditional Infraero Grand Prix for the Blind, held in March in Sao Paulo.
