There will be Two Judo Representatives in the Olympics Specials World Games Los Angeles 2015

Breno Viola and Antonio Lima represent the Brazilian Judo in the competition dedicated to people with special needs.

There will be Two Judo Representatives in the Olympics Specials World Games Los Angeles 2015

The Brazilian Judo will have two representatives in the Olympics Specials World Games Los Angeles 2015, the World Summer Games dedicated to athletes with special needs. Under the guidance of the coach Ricardo Lucio, the athletes Breno Viola and Antonio Lima will fight for medals in the competition that will take place between July 29th and July 31st. 

The Brazilian delegation boarded on Monday, July 20th, to the United States. The team consists of 38 athletes, 12 coaches and two delegates. Besides judo, Brazil will be represented in women's soccer, bocce, rhythmic gymnastics, skating, athletics, swimming and tennis.

The event’s program, which takes place every four years, has all the Olympic sports. The organization is in charge of the Special Olympics International, an international non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society through sports training throughout the year and competitions sports.

In Brazil the movement was born in 1990. Today there is a foundation based in São Paulo and it holds activities in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia and Pernambuco.
