The National Judo Team Takes Part in the First Training in Dusseldorf

The 22 judokas who will represent Brazil in the Grand Prix Dusseldorf this weekend arrived in Germany on Wednesday, February 18th, and took part in the first training before the competition. The activity was organized in the dojo set at the Nikko Hotel Dusseldorf, where the judokas are hosted.

On their social networks  some athletes did not hide the anxiety to get on the mat and recorded the preparatory activity. "First training in Dusseldorf! Tomorrow competition," wrote Sarah Menezes in the caption of a photo with teammates "invaded" by the humorous Leandro Guilheiro.

The boys also recorded the moment. Eric Takabatake, fighting on Friday, celebrated the end of the training and highlighted the warrior spirit of the dispute: “Training End! Tomorrow is the war! Get ready!" he said.

The draw of the keys was done on Thursday and athletes already know who their opponents are. The first to enter on Friday the mat of Mitsubishi Electric Halle will be girls of the 48kg, 52kg and 57kg, and the men of 60kg and 66kg. The fights begin at 11am local time (8am Brasília time).
