THE BJC WEBSITE REACHES OVER HALF A MILLION VISITS
“The new website has taken the news desk of BJC to another level. It is quick, dynamic, current and definitely the best and most trust worthy source of information about the Brazilian Olympic Judo”, said the president of the BJC, Paulo Wanderley Teixeira.
The day with the highest number of visits was Saturday October 17th, day of the Brazilian Senior Championship in Vitória and of the International Challenge of the male team. There were 13934 clicks.
The visitors come from more than 70 countries, mainly from Brazil, but reaching places as far as Japan, the Arab Emirates, Jordan… and even countries that are known for its little use of internet like China and Cuba. After Brazil, the United States of America are the most frequent visitors followed by France, Argentina, Canada and Japan.
“We also invested in an international version of the website, in English, to broaden our contact with other countries. The Brazilian Judo is a reference and we host many foreign team all the time and they are interested in what is happening on our tatami”, added the President.
According to the statistics of the new BJC website, connected with social networks such as Fabecook and Twitter, there are 20 thousand loyal followers that Access the site regularly.
“In a near future, all the services associated with judo will be available through our portal. We are seeking a greater interaction between the Confederation, Federations, Athletes, Referees, Clubs, Gyms… well, the judo public in general in Brazil and the World”, assured Fabio Vasconcelos, responsible for the Information Technology department of the BJC.
“Our goal is that everyone who wants to find out more about judo reaches the BJC website first and foremost and that they can find all the information they need here”, said Manoela Penna, Media Coordinator for the BJC.
