President Paulo Wanderley Is Honored by the Olympic Committee of Costa Rica
The president of the Pan American Judo Confederation, Paulo Wanderley Teixeira, was honored this Monday, July 20th, by the President of the National Committee of Costa Rica, Henry Núñez Nájera, on the second day of the Pan-American Cadet and Junior Championship held in San José, the capital of the Central American country. According to the entity that rules the Olympic sports in Costa Rica, the handing over of the commemorative plaque is justified by the relevance of the services rendered by the manager to the sport created by Jigoro Kano on the continent.
"I feel twice honored: once for being awarded on a Pan-American Judo event and secondly for being handed over the plaque by the president of the Olympic Committee himself. This consolidates the union between the Pan-American judo and the Olympic movement in Americas, " Paulo Wanderley said.
