New generation shines on in Europe
While the uder-20 was competing in Portugal, the uder-17 team was in Kaiserslautern stayed in an elite boarding school in the city.
“Everything is fine and going according to plan. The accommodation is comfortable and is attending to our needs perfectly. It is the same place where we do our meals and train, while we are in Kaiserslautern”, said Kenki Saito, assistant coach of the team.
This Saturday, the team disputed the competition in the city of Entfernung Daun. The result? All the judokas were the winners of the competition. Lais Lessa, Nathália Mercadante, Alexia Castilhos, Beatriz Nery, Beatriz Oliveira, Sibilla Faccholli, Leonardo Tavares, Alessandro Machado, Nicolas Santos, Ricardo Santos, Gustavo Assis, Eduardo Goncalves, Gabriel Souza and Tiago Bastos. Flávia Rodrigues didn’t fight due to na injury on her left shoulder and Flávia Gomes is in Coimbra with the U-20 team.
“The experience that our athletes have been having is excellent and extremely important for their development on the international competition scenery”, said Fulvio Miyata, coach of the boys’ team.
The chiropractor Marcos Pinheiros is responsible for mainteing the judokas physically ready during the training camps and competitions.
“Our main goal with this circuit is to promote a quick recovery for their bodies making sure they can always be prepared and able to make the most out of the training sessions and competitions”.
