The International Judo Federation has released the updated world ranking. The newest list already sums the points of the main events of the season. With only two competitions after moving up to the -81kg category, the Olympian Leandro Guilheiro is seen in tenth place on the list.

Gold medalist at the Grand Slam in Paris and bronze at the Grand Slam in Tokyo, Guilheiro has 420 points. Besides Leandro, other nine judokas appear between the 20 best places. Sarah Menezes (-48kg), silver medalist at the World Cup in Budapest, is in eighth place with 578 points, Erika Miranda (-52kg), bronze at the Grand Slam in Tokyo, is ninth with 460; Rafaela Silva (-52kg), bronze at the Grand Slam in Rio, sums 400 points; Leando Cunha (-66kg), champion of the World Cup in Belo Horizonte, has 236 points and is in 17th; in the -90kg category, Tiago Camilo, bronze at the Grand Slam in Paris, appears in eighth place with 484 points and Hugo Pessanha, gold at the World Cup in England, has 400 points; in sixth place, Luciano Correa (-100kg) still is the best placed Brazilian judoka with the largest sum of points, with 660. In the +100kg category, Daniel Hernandes, gold medalist at the Grand Slam in Rio, has the tenth place, with 460 points, while Walter Santos appears in 15th with 380.
