Gathered in France, the Brazilian Judokas Visited Paris on Their Sunday Off

Since August13th, the athletes of the Brazilian national judo team have been training together in Sainte-Genevieve de Bois, France. On Sunday they had a day off to recharge their batteries before the year’s most important competition – the World Judo Championship which begins next Monday in Astana.

The program chosen by the majority of the delegation was a tour of the sights from Paris, about 40 minutes away from the training place. In the French capital, athletes and members of the coaching staff visited historic sites such as the Arc de Triomphe and the Sacré Coeur, the Louvre Museum, and of course, the most famous French monument, the Eiffel Tower.

The team has already come back to their regular training. This will be the athletes’ last week of training before the competition. A part of the team will board to Kazakhstan on Wednesday, August 20th, while the rest, who will fight in the last days of the event, will leave France on August 24th.
