Brazil Can Win More Six Medals at Santiago Open

All the Brazilians who competed this Sunday, July 27th, at the Santiago Pan American Open reached the final block. There will be six fights for medals starting at 6 pm, Brasília time zone, at the National Stadium.  

The most interesting dispute in which a Brazilian takes part is the final between the half-middleweight Vinícius Panini and the Chilean Fernando Salazar. In his race, Panini eliminated a home athlete, Rodrigo Idro, as well as the Colombian Derian Castro.

The other five Brazilians go in search for bronze. Dione Lima (63kg) faces the Portuguese Ana Cachola and Melina Scardua (78kg) fights againts Diana Chala of Ecuador.

Henrique Silva (90kg) fights for bronze against the Spanish David Ruiz Zajac. And in half heavyweight two medals are likely to come. João Gabriel Schlittler faces the American Ajax Tadehara and Horace Antunes fights against the Uruguayan Manuel Bueno. The fights of the first block can be followed in the attached file.

On Saturday, Brazil won six medals. Diego Santos (60kg) and João Pedro Macedo (73kg) were gold awarded, Daniel Santos (66kg) won the silver whereas Phelipe Pelim (60kg), Vinícius Sakamoto (66kg) and Thelmo Martelotta (66kg) the bronze.
