Bárbara Timo Is Silver-Awarded at Barbados Pan American Cup

Brazil ended its participation in Barbados Pan American Cup with one more medal. Bárbara Timo took the silver in the middleweight category after the fight against the Venezuelan Elvismar Rodriguez. The athlete from Flamengo had defeated before the Honduran Dunia Santos by ippon in the first fight and the Mexican Andrea Poo by two yukos in  the semifinal. The young Karol Gimenes from SESI also competed on Sunday but she was defeated twice and did not manage to reach the podium.

Each athlete’s performance at Barbados Pan American Cup worth points for the Pan American Ranking, added to the country. The five best placed countries in each category will automatically reach Toronto 2015 Pan American Games.
