Athletes Take Part in Their First Training Session in Saquarema
The teams who arrived on Tuesday have already put on the kimonos for training.
The dojo from the International Training Camp of Saquarema was stepped in by its first athletes on Tuesday afternoon 27th who started the activities in the Volleyball Development Centre (CDV) which will last until February 7th.
Judokas from France, Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Portugal and Brazil were the first who trained on the six areas specially prepared for the training in Saquarema. This first training will serve as an adaptation stage to the climate and time zone for most athletes who came from Europe. The activity will last for two hours and it will begin at 5h00 pm (GMT).
"Today it was just to “take out” the trip from the body, a pre-start. Tomorrow it will be more serious. The quality of the training will be much higher and it is a unique opportunity to have so many Brazilian athletes participating and putting their hands on the kimonos of these European athletes, "says Ney Wilson, BJC’s Performance Director.
