An Elbow Injury Takes Teddy Riner Out from the Training in Saquarema

The French Teddy Riner, seven-times world champion and Olympic champion, left on Thursday morning, 29th, the camp from Saquarema where the International Training Camp takes place in the Volleyball Development Centre (CDV). The judoka explained that the cause of his sudden and unexpected departure was an injury to the elbow felt during the Wednesday's activities, 28th. Anxious to get recovered as soon as possible, he preferred to go back to Paris on Thursday to start his lesion treatment.

Riner also held a final training early on Thursday with the Brazilian Rafael Silva, one of his main opponents, and he realized that there would be not possibility to continue  the training being injured. The rest of the French delegation will stay in Saquarema following the normal training schedule until February 7th.
