The Olympic medalist Leandro Guilheiro is the highest rated Brazilian, appearing in third place of the -81kg category, with 760 points, behind the Korean judoka Jae-Bum Kim and the Russian Ivan Nifontov. Leandro won the gold medal in São Paulo and the bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Rio. Since he changed category, moving up in weight, he has won medals in every competition he has participated in.
