Taciana Lima Is the Champion of the African Open Held in Mauritius
The Brazilian judo keeps shining abroad. Taciana Lima, the Brazilian athlete who defends the colors of Guinea Bissau, her father’s country of origin, was the champion of the African Open from Port Louis, Mauritius. The athlete from Sogipa defeated all her opponents by ippon.

With the title, Taciana scored 100 points in her weight category ranking (up-to-48 kg) and consequently she may climb some positions - it is currently the world 16th best athlete. In her campaign towards the gold medal, Taciana defeated Akanto Rakotobe from Madagascar, the English Hayley Willis and Kimberly Renicks.
