Organizing Committee start working in Rio de Janeiro

The Organizing Committee of the Brazil Judo World Tour, in which the Grand Slam in Rio de Janeiro, the World Cup in São Paulo and the World Championship by Teams in Belo Horizonte and Salvador are part of, has begun meeting and presenting their functional areas this Monday, 12/4, in Rio de Janeiro. The immersion program will finish on Wednesday, 14/4.

At the events were all the members of the functional areas of the committee such as the production, doping, ceremony, press, ticket sales, technical department, transport and customer services departments, amongst others.

The president of the Brazilian Judo Confederation, Paulo Wanderley Teixeira, opened the meeting and took the opportunity to present the new superintendent of the Confederation, Predo Azambuja.

“In 2009 the Grand Slam in Rio de Janeiro became a reference of success on the events’ calendar of the International Federation, because of this, we cannot aim to anything less than greatness. Everyone’s wish is to put on a extremely well produced event”, said Paulo Wanderley.
