MIZUNO PAYS A VISIT TO BJC
The international executives of Mizuno paid a visit on Tuesday night to the Brazilian Judo Confederation, in Rio de Janeiro. There present were Mizuno’s Sports Director for the Americas and Europe, Chika Shibata; the Business Manager, Junichi Ishihara; and Alpargatas’, company that distributes the products from Mizuno in Brazil, Sérgio Lopes.
Chika Shibata was very impressed and complimented the structure of the national judo.

“I have to admit that I did not expect to find this infrastructure. I know a lot of federations around the world and I have never seen anything like this. It is really rare to have a training area in the same place as the administrative headquarters”, she said.
The executive also stressed the partnership between Mizuno and Brazil.

“Brazil and Japan are the only countries that Mizuno has this amount of investment in. I saw during this visit how well the Brazilian judo is structured and strong. Our partnership has everything to last and be profitable to both sides. BJC media feedback is, in Mizuno’s opinion, excellent and we are very pleased”.

To the president of the Brazilian Judo Confederation, having Mizuno as partner supplying sporting goods is a highlight of the modality.

“When a Brazilian athlete wears a kimono from Mizuno, he feels like he is driving a Ferrari. We are very honoured to open our house to Mizuno”, guaranteed Paulo Wanderley, who also gave Shibata an official t-shirt of the Brazilian team and a medal of the Grand Slam in Rio de Janeiro.
