Brazil Was Well Represented in the Organization of the South-American Games

Within the mat, Brazil has had so far an excellent outcome thanks to medals in all categories. Off the mat, Brazil is still shining. Starting from the very organization of the Games under Robnelson Ferreira’s charge who is also a coaching and events manager within the Brazilian Judo Confederation.

\" I was surprised by the Olympic standard protocol they managed to keep in all sports and in the event as a whole. This was important for the athletes feel more appreciated, \"he said.

“The facilities are very good as well as the spaces for athletes. And we must also highlight how the athletes and the coaching committees were helped, apart from the volunteers’ kindness and proactivity.\"

The president of the Brazilian Judo Confederation and also of  the Pan American Judo Confederation, Paulo Wanderley Teixeira, watched the fights for medals at the Olympic Training Center, the stage of combat sports. He was honored to be invited to give the medals won by the Brazilian athletes. He was happy to see the evolution of the organization during the Games.

\"Every year institutions, the host countries, are improving the quality of the Games. And it will serve as a benchmark for future host countries. Colombia organized well the South American Championship in 2010 and Chile did as well. Overall, I see how the organization has been improved, “Paulo Wanderley commented.

Besides them, Brazil counts on the IJF A Referee, Laédson Lopes and complete coaching staff: Amadeu Moura, head of the judo team ; the coaches Fulvio Miyata and Mario Tsutsui ; the nutritionist Roberta Lima ; the psychologist Luciana Castelo Branco ; the practitioner Hans Peter Strubreiter, and the strategist Ricardo Lucio. They were joined by the physiotherapist Fabio Minutti and the doctor Tathiana Parmigiano who care of teams from other sports.

“It is thanks everybody’s work that we are reaching our goal - getting on the podium in all categories. We are very grateful to the BOC for having provided us everything we needed for such results,\" Amadeu Moura said.
